Wow - it had been a couple of months since our last time at the Rover - and the break did us some good. A great set - the best we've played there - and "Eight Days A Week" made its' debut to much dancing and drinking. Phake John changed the set list around quite a bit and we came out firing with "It Wont Be Long", rocking hard!!
It was a packed house at the beginning of the second set and it stayed full until we closed with "Money". Saw many friends as well as new faces with some helping us spread the love. We had Alexus doing the claps on "Hold Your Hand", maroon shirt guy on air drums during "One After 909" and a special lead vocalist on Love Me Do.
Again, thanks to all for all the kind words, but the best complement of the night came from some guy who came up to me in the parking lot afterwards and said "I hate The @!&$@! Beatles, but you guys are pretty good."

Ah, last time at the Rover, we had a bona fide sound man - complete with lots of whirring gadgets and other mysterious equipment - take care of OUR impact on YOUR eardrums. RESOLVED, it'll be very hard to go back to schlepping heavy furcoated speakers and other such things around - besides the whole new range of opportunities drink more beer and lead a generally more hedonistic lifestyle.

It was absolutely jammed last Saturday night. Even had some ladies dancing on the tables. Rolled out Get Back, Here Comes The Sun (it did!!) Yer Blues and maybe some others I cant remember. Working on a return engagement soon - be there early for a seat - any seat at all.

Well, it's beginning to look a lot like Busy Season. We're all running around knee deep in things having absolutely nothing to do with being part of the area's foremost Beatle tribute band. However, we are taking the opportunity to add even more tunes to our set list - especially some of the later ones that are always being requested. Yer Blues, Let It Be, Here Comes The Sun will be debuting the next time we come to your town, burg, village, or English Settlement.
